Is My Child Eligible?

To qualify for ECEAP, children must be 3 or 4 years old by August 31st of the current school year. For example, to enroll in the 2023/24 school year, a child must be 3 or 4 years old by August 31st, 2023.

Most children are eligible for ECEAP based on their age and family income.

Children above the income requirement may be eligible who have multiple support needs, including:

  • Environmental factors such as homelessness, family violence, chemical dependency, foster care, or incarcerated parents.
  • Developmental factors such as developmental delay or other special needs.

In addition, children with disabilities who qualify for special education services and children who turn three after August 31st, but have previously participated in certain birth-to-three programs are also eligible for ECEAP.

After eligibility is determined, children are prioritized for enrollment as space is available in their communities.
